Bad Romeo review

So this book review is kind of late......sorry ;)

Bad Romeo by Leisa Rayven review

When Cassie Taylor met Ethan Holt at acting school, sparks flew. She was the good girl actress. He was the bad boy about campus. But one fated casting choice for Romeo and Juliet changed it all. Like the characters they were playing, Cassie and Ethan's romance seemed destined. Until he broke her heart and betrayed her trust. Now the A-list heartthrob is back in her life and turning her world around. One touch at a time. Cast as  romantic leads once again, they're forced to confront raw memories of the hearbreaking lows and pulse-pounding highs of their secret college affair. But they'll also discover that people who rub rach other the wrong way often make the best sparks.

I read this book on valentines day. Don't judge me I needed it! And it was worth reading it on this particular day. The main character Cassie is a very relatable girl who tries to fit in. She always tries to act like everyone else wants her to act. That changes when Ethan comes. He's the complete opposite. He doesn't want to be liked. When you read the book you will notice that the story always switches between past and present. So you'll always be able to learn about their background. The book is funny and romantic and Ethan and Cassie have a pretty sexual relationship......so don't read it if you don't like that. More than once I was pretty angry at Ethan or Cassie because they were not getting that they are clearly meant for eachother! I'm giving it 3.5 out of 5 cupcakes ! I already got the second book and I'm looking forward to reading it.

I hope you enjoyed that my lovelies. Comment if you like or know this book and tell me what kind of books you usually read!

Cold Burn of Magic review

Hello my lovelies. I haven't forgotten about you but I've been really busy lately. Two weeks ago I was on break but that time is sadly over and I have to face the cruelty of life again.......Naw , just kidding, it's just school and yes in case you were wondering , I still go to school...so in the last two weeks I have read three books...just finished the third one and I'm planning on beginning the fourth book today :) I hope you will enjoy this review ;)

The Cold Burn of Magic by Jennifer Estep book review!

(I had to look for the cover on the internet because I got the actual book from the library and I had to give it back )

It’s not as great as you’d think, living in a tourist town that’s known as “the most magical place in America.” Same boring high school, just twice as many monsters under the bridges and rival Families killing each other for power.I try to keep out of it. I’ve got my mom’s bloodiron sword and my slightly illegal home in the basement of the municipal library. And a couple of Talents I try to keep quiet, including very light fingers and a way with a lock pick. But then some nasty characters bring their Family feud into my friend’s pawn shop, and I have to make a call—get involved, or watch a cute guy die because I didn’t. I guess I made the wrong choice, because now I’m stuck putting everything on the line for Devon Sinclair. My mom was murdered because of the Families, and it looks like I’m going to end up just like her…........................................................................................................
So I was really curious to read this book because a friend of mine had read it before I did and she was not satisfied with it....which I don't understand because I freakin` loved it!!!!! In the beginning I didn't know in which century the story starts but I figured it out after a few pages of reading. And it's the 21st century......yayyy :) The main character Lila is a 17-year old girl which lives in the basement of a library. She still goes to school but also has a different kind of job when she's not in school ;) By accident she gets herself involved in a bloody fight and now has to work as a bodyguard for a guy called Devon. I think you already got that but I kind of repeated it for you..don't ask why. Lila is a really strong girl and she has a real sarcastic way to handle things which is quite amusing. The story is a bit like Romeo and Juliet because of the families that hate eachother. But don't worry, there's no heartbreaking end. It's actually the first book in a series and I can't wait to read the next book, because I'm so eager to find out what happens next. It's a mixture of fantasy / supernatural and mystery elements. There's a bit of romance too but it's definitely not a book for people who want to see sparks fly because they will be disappointed. The plot twist came to me by surprise. I could sense that something was up ,but when the actual plot twist came I was a bit shocked. But I love these books that have the element of surprise and completly blow you away when you don't see it coming. For people who liked the Mortal instruments I would recommend this book. Read it you will enjoy every page of it! I'm giving it 5 out of 5 cupcakes!
The next review will hopefully be written tomorrow. See you then my lovelies. Comment on this review and tell me about book you like!

Grave Mercy book review

Hello my lovelies, so today I'm going to do another review of a book.....whoa didn't see that coming :) I read the book both in German and English but the book cover you will see ,is in German, but that's fine because the title is the same in both languages.

Grave Mercy: His Fair Assassin by Robin LaFevers review

Seventeen-year-old Ismae escapes from the brutality of an arranged marriage into the sanctuary of the convent of St. Mortain, where the sisters still serve the gods of old. Here she learns that the god of Death Himself has blessed her with dangerous gifts-and a violent destiny. If she chooses to stay at the convent, she will be trained as an assassin and serve as a handmaiden to Death. To claim her new life, she must destroy the lives of others.
Ismae's most important assignment takes her straight into the high court of Brittany-where she finds herself woefully under prepared-not only for the deadly games of intrigue and treason, but for the impossible choices she must make. For how can she deliver Death's vengeance upon a target who, against her will, has stolen her heart?
................................................................................................................

This is the first book out of three from Robin LaFevers and I truly loved it. It's a mixture of fantasy, romance and intrigues. What I liked the most was the time it played in. I really like fantasy novels that are in a complete different century. This story took place in the 15th century in Brittany, which was very interesting to read. There are lots of intrigues by people in the story you haven't thought of and more than once you will have to read a page two times because you can't believe what it says.
The romantic part is well written so it doesn't sound cheesy at all.(As you may know this I'm not a particular lover of cheesy books ...sorry) The main character Ismae is a very mentally strong girl  and she really start to grow on you. She transitions into an independent women who can take care of herself and who doesn't need to be taken care of.
Til the end there's a breathtaking story which I enjoyed and it was a pleasure to witness every moment of it.If you like books that are a mixture of history, romance and fantasy then this is the right story for you. I definitely look forward to reading the following books in this triology. But I must warn you: the three books are all in three different point of views of different girls in the convent who go on different journeys. So the following book isn't really attached to the story of this book. It will have elements of the old story but it's not 'the same'. With that being said I'm giving it 4.5 out of 5 cupcakes.

See you next time lovelies  and comment what you liked about this review.
