The "Wings by Aprilynne Pike" book review
Laurel was mesmerized, staring at the pale things with wide eyes. They were terrifyingly beautiful—too beautiful for words.
Laurel turned to the mirror again, her eyes on the hovering petals that floated beside her head. They looked almost like wings.
In this extraordinary tale of magic and intrigue, romance and danger, everything you thought you knew about faeries will be changed forever.

Laurel is an extraordinary girl. She can only eat vegetables and fruits. So she isn't somebody that you can call a vegan by choice. She doesn't need to wash her hair with shampoo and she has never had acne problems like most of her teenage-friends. That may sound odd but one day she wakes up and she notices a flower on her back. She and her friend David try to figure out what it is. While doing that she discovers she is not the only one with powers like that. She mees Tamani, who is pretty similar to what she is. Laurel also gets in trouble for being the way she is and has to make decisions of life and death....dam dam dam...........
It sure is a high-fantasy novel and I liked it but I didn't really love it. The cover is beautiful and it is well written but Laurel sometimes makes wrong decisions and that sometimes wanted me to go into the book and shake her. For example the love triangle between her David and Tamani .... as you may have figured it out ....it happens. But it's not something like the love triangle between Katniss, Gale and Peeta or Clary, Jace and Simon and it's not even like the love triangle between Bella, Edward and Jacob ....although if you think about it ,it has some similarities. Like straight up I wanted to scream at Laurel for starting this triangle...why? it's not even shipable...I mean yeah feelings are feelings but don't go around and make out with both guys .......straight up noooooooooooooo.
This is not meant to be offensive and I did like the book, this is just my personal opinion. And I'm probably like 100% going to read the whole entire series to find out about how it continues....or maybe just to scream at Laurel a bit more ...jk ;)
