The sequel continued at the point where the first book ended. I liked this because I didn't have the feeling I missed an important part and I didn't need any time to get into the book. The way the first book was written carried on with this book , which I really liked as you might know if you have read the review, of the last book, that I wrote. In the last book the space ship didn't have enough oxygen anymore, so they shut the gate between the Phoenix and the two not so wealthy ships, Arcadia and Walden. This is actually  Well's fault, because he destroyed the thing that kept the oxygen inside the space ship. He did it to save Clarke and I love him for that, but I also hate him, because think of all the innocent people that might have to die because of him. Glass escaped and made her way to the Walden. The place where Luke lives, together they want to open the gates to save the people. Meanwhile on the earth the group imprisons a teenage girl named Sasha that has lived on the earth with her people before anyone. Pretty soon Wells discovers that Sasha is not evil and she even shows Wells, Clarke and Bellamy her village. But there is also a group of people that has seperated from the village and they don't want any humans from the space ship to live. Bellamy is scared that Octavia was taken by them and he does anything to find her. Meanwhile Clarke discovers that her parents might be alive. I think I loved this book a bit more than the first one because this is the book of the truth and because of #Bellarke and #Washa ! There are so many surprises at the end and  Clarke tells Bellamy about the experiments of her parents and Glass tells Luke, why his best-friend was really killed. And of course the end is in a cliffhanger just like the first book because the people of the space ship come home.....
